Fächer im IB-Programm am Realgymnasium

Die sechs IB-Fächer (wobei HL = Higher Level und SL = Standard Level) am RG sind:

  • Deutsch (HL)
  • Englisch (HL)
  • Französisch oder Italienisch oder Latein (HL oder SL; Schüler/in darf wählen)
  • Mathematik (HL oder SL; Schüler/in darf wählen)
  • Biologie (HL oder SL; Schüler/in darf wählen)
  • Geographie (SL)

 

Dazu kommen drei sogenannte „Kernbereiche“: die „Theorie des Wissens“ (ToK), der „Extended Essay“ und die „Creativity, Activity, Service“ (CAS).

Selbstverständlich decken sich die sechs IB-Fächer mit den entsprechenden Maturfächern, für die Maturität kommen einfach noch weitere dazu, insbesondere Chemie, Physik, Informatik, Geschichte, Musik respektive Bildnerisches Gestalten und Sport.

Die Anzahl der Lektionen pro Fach im Bildungsgang zum Doppelabschluss mit zweisprachiger Maturität und Diplom des International Baccalaureate ist in der Stundentafel für Immersionsklassen festgehalten.

Subjects in the IB programme at the Realgymnasium

The six IB subjects (where HL = Higher Level and SL = Standard Level) at the RG are

• German (HL)
• English (HL)
• French or Italian or Latin (HL or SL; student may choose)
• Mathematics (HL or SL; student may choose)
• Biology (HL or SL; student may choose)
• Geography (SL)

In addition, there are three so-called "core components": "Theory of Knowledge" (ToK), the "Extended Essay" and "Creativity, Activity, Service" (CAS).

Naturally, the six IB subjects are the same as the corresponding Matura subjects, but for the Matura there are simply additional subjects, in particular chemistry, physics, computer science, history, music, art and design, and sport.

The number of lessons per subject in the educational pathway to a dual qualification with a bilingual Matura and an International Baccalaureate diploma is outlined in the timetable for immersion classes.
